Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy (OT) is a health profession that involves the therapeutic use of activities of daily living, or occupations, to treat the physical, mental, developmental, and emotional ailments that impact a client ability to perform day-to-day tasks. Occupational therapy engages children in various activities of daily living in order to promote growth and development, with children having conditions that put them at risk of developmental delay occupational therapy uses different play, school and basic self care methods and techniques to promote independence and health well -being. Clients can benefit from our qualified therapists who evaluate the patient’s condition and needs. They then develop a treatment plan to address the patient’s needs and help them meet specific goals. They also assess the patient’s home and/or work environment and recommend adaptations to fit the patient’s needs and improve independence. Further, they train patients and their caregivers to use special equipment in order to ease the burden of the condition to both client and care giver.

We concentrate on using routine activities (or occupations) therapeutically with either individuals or groups. This will increase their involvement in roles, routines, and habits at home, at school, at work, in the community, and in other places. We assist you in returning to your regular activities as much as we can.
